The nearest landing in the Willow Flowage Scenic Waters Area is a scenic 20 minute drive away, offering a remote big water experience for exploring and fishing.
Hunters will enjoy access to literally thousands of acres of prime grouse and deer hunting land within minutes of the house, including the Chequamegon National Forest, State Owned Lands, and thousands of acres of paper company lands and other private properties managed for public access through state managed forest programs. Ducks flourish in fall, and one of the best blinds on the lake is on the state owned island right out in front of the house.
The Minocqua Winterpark and Nordic Center is only 10 minutes away, offering the midwest's finest network of groomed cross country ski trails, day lodge and numerous events for the whole family. The the main snowmobile trail connecting Minocqua, the Squirrel Lake area and Lake of the Torches Casino goes right by on the lake. Its part of an extensive network of local trails maintained by the Cross Country Cruisers and Forest Riders Snowmobile Clubs of Minocqua.
